This collection of jewellery objects from the series Fascination With Santini celebrates the creative genius of the famous Baroque architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. Its main source of inspiration is Santini’s masterpiece, the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora in Žďár nad Sázavou (a UNESCO World Heritage site).

The morphology of these jewellery objects is derived from the basic geometry of the church – the five-point star, the pentagon, and the spherical triangle – and on a network of interconnecting lines and circles in the outline of the church’s floorplan. With their elliptical shapes, curved into concave and convex forms, the objects quote the principles of Baroque architecture. Throughout the series, centrality and verticality are accentuated. Numerical symbolism (indicating the place of pilgrimage), the symbolism of sacred geometry, the play of light and shadow – these are further important elements of this work. The jewellery objects radiate purity, calm, order, harmony, and spirituality.
